Eliminating poverty through education for underserved communities in the Philippines.

Mission

The Joy & Care-Giving Foundation believes that to eliminate poverty, education is the key element to success.
The Foundation provides financial aid and hands-on support in building schools and providing academic and vocational education programs to underserved communities globally.

The Joy And Care-Giving Foundation has partnered with The Make It Take It Program, Adult and Community Education of Flagler County Public Schools and The Flagler County Rotary Club.

In July 2006, the partnership visited the Philippines and provided computer training and equipment to 3 high schools, 3 elementary schools (including the St. Anthony Development & Learning Center preschool in Cutcut, Guiguinto, Bulacan built by The Joy And Care-Giving Foundation), a juvenile detention center, Bethany Orphanage, and Marikina Women's Guild (Marikina City). They also formed a partnership with The Marikina Rotary Club to help them with their support for local education.

Since then, Joy and Care-Giving Foundation has continued with efforts to provide more training and computers to these and other in need educational facilities. Please see the side navigation for further details on our projects.

Update 11/24/2008

Please watch for the update about our recent trip to the Philippines on November 10th, 2008.  Veronica Maggs and Bill Welsh from Flagler County Schools, Dr. Rolly Casis and Josie Garcia, and all from the Flagler Rotary Club of Florida are helping to build an effective model for providing education to children in poverty that can be implemented in other countries.
